I Hate Cops! (Or maybe just the one this morning...)

Before anyone starts calling me a cop hater and accusing me of not respecting the men & women who risk their lives to keep our communities safe, I'd like to say that I'm not talking bout the detectives and good cops that actually care about justice and helping people. I totally respect detectives, the ones who actually have to deal with all the criminals and the trauma of innocent victims. I've watched enough Law & Order to know that... ;oP But I also know that Law & Order is just a TV show, and of course they're going to portray law enforcement officials as good, decent people who fight for justice. They even make the DA's seem like they give a crap about the proclaimed innocent defendants. But that's all TV........

I've never had to deal with detectives in real life, but I do know that the majority of the cops out there are lazy, donut eatting, power tripping redneck assholes who were probably bullied in high school. So it's like revenge of the losers... they think they're all that just because they wear a uniform, carry a gun, and drive a car with sirens, that they have the right to bully everyday civilians around. But what happens if there was an actual fight or shooting where their lard-asses might actually be in danger? They're nowhere to be found, or they take their time hoping some other "good & brave" officer will have already arrived at the scene.

Yes, I know I'm just bitching and venting, but that's because I had one of these asshole cops power trip on me this very morning. I was minding my own business driving to work, fighting through crazy DC traffic even though it was already 10:15. It turns out that traffic was extra crazy this morning because the MCI Center was hosting Disney on Ice. So the streets and sidewalks are swarmed with little kids, and there are tons of cops everywhere directing traffic or just standing around trying to look important. You would think it was the gathering of all world leaders or something by the amount of officers and squad cars on the street. All this for Disney on Ice???? So anyways, I was waiting patiently to get to the MCI Center parking garage, and when the traffic finally started moving, I started to turn into the garage. The asshole cop directing traffic stopped me in midturn and barks "Where are you going? You go where I tell you to go!" pointing straight. I didn't think much of it at first and simply replied "I park in the garage every day. I have a permit." But the power tripping doesn't end there, the asshole cop barks "Not today!" and made me back out of the garage and keep going on the street!!!!! When I passed the parking attendant that's usually there every morning (who's actually nice and waves to me every time he sees me) and asked if I could park in the garage, he said yes. But now I was stuck in more traffic and had to make a huge detour to come back and park in the garage that I shouldn't have been kicked out of in the first place!!!!! I was shocked at the behavior of that asshole cop! What gives him the right to yell at innocent lil me when I didn't even do anything wrong? Just because he wears a damn badge doesn't make him God! He was directing traffic for Disney on Ice!!!! That in itself says enough. I hope he gets trampled by the gazillion kids at the MCI Center anxious to see their favorite Disney characters. Either that or suffer a heart attack from all the donuts he stuffs down his redneck throat!

Whew! Now that I'm finished venting, I feel much better! I'm not going to let him ruin my day, but what goes around comes around, so maybe some lil kid'll find him funny looking and kick him in the nuts!
